This electronic database contains general aviation data used by pilots including airports, VORs, NDBs, SUAs and more. Garmin still provides NAV data for the GNS-430W.

Have to type in your route and cross your fingers if it accepts it. And that's the Achille's heel; won't work with a Mac, and I don't have a Windows device anywhere in sight. I use Garmin on my Garmin 430.

The only feature that you gain for the $99 a year is the ability to load DP's and STAR's from the Garmin Pilot app to a compatible device, … I’m not exactly sure about garmin as haven’t used it , but jeppeson provides international charts for Mexico and Canada.

The difference mainly is that Jeppesen offers a reduced price on the 430 and Garmin does not offer NAV data for the 430.

You can use a MAC to program the cards on the GNS430W - it's a native app now.
